Our First Interview

We apologize that this update has been so long in coming, but there really has not been much to report until now. Mel has been doing a lot of traveling over the past few weeks, including a vacation that we took together to celebrate our 10-year anniversary (which is in May). We’ve had an incredible start to this year, and now we are finally diving in to all things adoption!

This past Wednesday, we had our first official home study interview in Lancaster. It was a great opportunity to get to know our case worker, as she asked us questions about our jobs, our relationship, our finances, and a few other things. She also gave us a whole bunch of new paperwork that we will need to complete before our second interview on March 14. Please be praying that the details will continue to fall into place as we take care of this important paperwork. We have some decisions to make and some specifics to take care of before the second interview.

We are really excited to be in the midst of the process and continue to trust God as we follow him into an unknown (by us) future. Thanks so much for your encouragement and prayers! We will update you much sooner next time!
