We've Decided!

After weeks of online research, many chats with friends and those who have adopted before, and visits to three local adoption agencies, we have prayerfully decided to partner with Bethany Christian Services for our adoption. Our formal application has been accepted, we have already attended a 5-hour education class, and we were just informed that our home study can begin in January. Typical home studies take between 3-5 months to complete. At the completion of our home study, we will be ready for an infant placement.

The beautiful part about Bethany’s placement process is that the birth parents have the freedom to choose who they want to parent their child. Expecting mothers/fathers will look at our profile (when the birth mother is approximately 7 months pregnant) and ask to meet us before making their final decision.

Once our home study is complete, we have no idea how long we will wait for a placement. It is completely out of our control, and we are continuing to trust God for His perfect timing and His perfect child for us.
