Two Down, One to Go!

This past Monday we traveled back to Lancaster to complete the second interview of our home study. While our first interview was conducted with the two of us together, this one had us separated, each of us individually meeting with our case worker while the other one watched a video of a successful adoption story. We love our case worker, and so the entire morning was encouraging for both of us to answer questions about our life (and watch that video!)

So here is what we know…

- Our third and final home study interview is scheduled for Monday, May 2nd. That interview will be in our home.

- Once the third interview is completed, our case worker will need about one month to finalize our paperwork.

- Once our paperwork is finalized, hopefully by June 1st, we start the wait!

- Just as a reminder, this is then the time when we start to receive “Information Letters” about birth families and the infants for whom they are making an adoption plan. We have the option of having our profile shown to the birth parents (or not). For every profile shown to birth parents, they then choose a couple (or two) they would like to meet in person. And it continues from there!

Again, THANK YOU for all of your love and support through this entire journey. We’re convinced that we have the best friends and family in the whole world!
